A Joyful Life – what it means to raise food animals humanely

We call ourselves “humaneatarians” because we only eat meat that has been humanely raised. We started our farm because it was difficult to find humanely raised meat in the grocery store. We found that humane certification programs are misleading and ineffective.

When we started raising animals we discovered that food animals express joy when raised in humane conditions. Pigs love to root! Chickens love to scratch the ground and dustbathe! Sheep are excited when we move them to fresh pasture!

We are committed to providing our customers with meat that has been raised under the most rigorous humane standards. Please feel free to visit our farm and see for yourself how our methods provide healthy, happy animals.
