Forest Raised Pigs

Gloucestershire Old Spots

We raise Gloucestershire Old Spot pigs and Gloucestershire Old Spot crossed with Red Wattle pigs – the kind of pigs you would find on your grandparents’ farm.

Gloucestershire Old Spot and Red Wattle pigs are both heritage breeds classified as threatened by the Livestock Conservancy. These breeds have a global population less than 5000. We raise this endangered breed because we believe their genetics should be preserved – heritage breed pigs provide the best-tasting pork!

Unlike “grocery store” pork that has been raised in a factory farm, heritage breed pigs can be raised outdoors, on pasture, without added drugs or hormones.

Our pigs are fed a no-soy pig feed and are rotationally grazed through our forest where they gobble down acorns, apples, and pears.

Our pork is definitely NOT the “other white meat” promoted by the factory pork farms.  It is rich, red, and well-marbled. You will taste the difference.

Heritage breed, humanely raised pork tastes better, it’s better from you, and you’ll feel better eating it!
